Fiber Art Stories
I am Carol Hancuh.
My career in art began with acrylics, pen and ink, watercolors, and a few years majoring in art in college. I dabbled in computer mask layout design to bring the bacon home for myself and my son.

Fiber Art Stories
Magical World Of Art Denice Francisco
The Sunset quilt was a raffle quilt for my church’s summer celebration in 2013. Partly because I sold over $250 worth of tickets alone, I know that the quilt brought in over $600. My challenge in this quilt was making the sunset shimmer over the water.

Cascading Flowers
Cascading flowers was made for the Project Open Hand silent auction and was loved at $550. This organization makes meals for poor and sick people in the poorest part of San Francisco, the Tenderloin neighborhood.

Spilled Vase
The flowers tumble on their way down, picking up water bubbles along the way and eventually land upside down or on their sides. There is a condition called refraction which is the water in the vase being distorted from the water outside the vase. This effect was barely used and will be pursued another time.
